Born from the mountains and inspired by tea, Jingmai Mountain is home to unique, recognizable ancient tea forests. The area preserves the well-maintained architecture of ancient villages, creating an ecosystem where tea and forest coexist harmoniously with the land and people. This region is known for its rich traditional customs and folk culture, passed down through generations. Jingmai Mountain is also the world’s first tea-themed UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, making it the sixth such heritage site in Yunnan.
When speaking of Jingmai, one cannot overlook the springtime of the mountain, a season that has always been uniquely poetic. As the clouds rise, the mountains and forests come to life, and every living thing is nurtured by this magical land. This vibrant environment nourishes the precious tea leaves that grow here. According to legend, the ancestors of the Dai people, led by Chief Nuola Zhao, discovered this paradise during their long migration, guided by a golden sacred deer. Inspired by this story, the 2024 Liuli Shuiyun · Jingmai tea is born, selected from the core tea gardens of Jingmai. The tea boasts a rich, lingering floral fragrance and a strong, invigorating aftertaste. With each sip, you’ll understand that every moment spent waiting for this tea to steep is worth it—and it is certainly worth keeping and savoring.
