In 2012 Laotongzhi Pasha Ripe Tea Cake is Haiwang Tea Industry’s first ancient tree ripe tea. It is made from tea leaves sourced from the ancient tree tea area in Pasha, Menghai County, Xishuangbanna, using old arbor trees. Following over 60 years of tea-making expertise from Pu-erh tea Lifetime Achievement Master Mr. Bingliang Zou, the tea undergoes moderate fermentation, giving it ample space for future transformation.
The cake is well-formed and full-bodied, with robust leaves and visible golden buds. After 12 years of aging, it presents an excellent taste and tea soup color. The tea soup is bright red and clear, with a rich, smooth body and a distinctive aged aroma. The aftertaste is long-lasting, and the rare sweet and refreshing aftertaste typical of ripe Pu-erh tea is fully expressed in the Laotongzhi Pasha Ripe Tea Cake.
